Musik

Music is a fundamental and integrated part of capoeira. The most important instrument is the Berimbau which dictates the rhythm of the game. There are many different strokes (toques) in the music which may span from a slow to a fast accelerating pace. Besides the Berimbau, other instruments are used such as the Atabaque, Pandeiro and Agogo. The songs which accompany the music tell stories about capoeira and life in general.
